Ballast Requirements & Electrical Compliance
The CMH70/TC/942/G8.5 must be operated on a 70W ANSI C139/M139 pulse-start ballast specifically listed for ceramic metal halide lamp types. Operation on probe-start metal halide ballasts, M130-coded 35W ballasts, or any non-CMH-rated electronic control gear will result in non-ignition, color instability, or premature arc tube failure not covered under warranty. Allow a full 3–5 minute re-strike cool-down interval before restarting a hot lamp — attempting to hot-restrike a CMH lamp without proper cool-down will result in non-ignition until the arc tube pressure normalizes.
