Important Safety & Installation Notes

• High Pressure Warning: HPS lamps operate under high internal pressure. Always wear face shield and gloves during handling and installation.
• Correct Ballast Required: Must be operated on an ANSI-coded ballast matching the lamp wattage and type. Incorrect ballast will cause lamp failure or create a safety hazard.
• No Bare Hands: Never touch the outer envelope with bare skin. Oils cause hot spots. Use clean gloves or a lint-free cloth.
• Warm-Up Time: HPS lamps require a warm-up period to reach full output. Allow 3–5 minutes after ignition before assessing lumen output.
• Hot Restart: HPS lamps cannot be instantly restarted when hot. Allow the lamp to cool for several minutes before restriking after a power interruption.
• Burn Position: Use only in the rated burn position. Incorrect orientation may shorten lamp life or cause arc tube failure.
