Important Safety & Installation Notes

  • Burn Position is Critical: This lamp must be operated horizontally within ±15° of true horizontal only. Installing it in a vertical or angled position beyond this range will cause overheating and severely shorten lamp life.
  • Enclosed Fixtures Only: Must be used exclusively in approved, fully enclosed halogen fixtures. Do not use in open or unshielded housings.
  • No Bare Hands: Never touch the bulb envelope or inside of the reflector with bare skin. Oils from your fingers create hot spots that cause premature failure or lamp burst. Use clean gloves or a lint-free cloth during installation.
  • Precision LCL Matters: The 26.0 mm Light Center Length positions the filament at the exact focal point of the instrument's optical system. Using a lamp with a different LCL will degrade image quality, illumination uniformity, and instrument performance.
  • Do Not Exceed Rated Voltage: Operating above 8V will dramatically shorten lamp life. Verify your equipment's transformer output before installing.
  • Extreme Heat Warning: This lamp operates at very high temperatures. Never touch when lit or recently switched off. Keep away from combustibles including paper, plastics, and cloth.
  • Eye Safety: Do not look directly at the operating lamp. Intense visible and UV output can cause serious eye injury.
  • Fragile: Quartz halogen lamps are highly sensitive to vibration and impact. Do not drop, shake, or bend. Inspect the envelope for any cracks before installation.
