This 14W lamp is used to re-lamp T5 HE fixtures that already use 5000K daylight lamps. The G5 base is specific to T5 lamps, so it does not fit T8 or T12 lampholders.
Match the lamp to the fixture's ballast: HE lamps must run on a ballast rated for 14W T5 HE lamps. Do not use an HE lamp on an HO ballast or the reverse. When re-lamping part of a space, keep the same color temperature so all lamps look alike.
