Before Ordering
- Confirm the lamp is 80W with a G5 base and the 880 (8000K) light color.
- Confirm the fixture accepts a lamp with a maximum overall length of 1463.2 mm (57.61 in). Other T5 lamps with the same length (T5 HO 49W, T5 HE 35W) have a different wattage, so confirm wattage and series against your ballast.
- Confirm the ballast is rated for 80W T5 HO lamps and matches your supply voltage.
- T5 lamps are not interchangeable with T8 or T12 lamps.
Safety and Handling
- Disconnect power before installing or removing the lamp.
- Handle the glass tube carefully and do not install a cracked or damaged lamp.
- Allow the lamp and fixture to cool before servicing.
- Light output depends on ambient temperature and is highest at about 35°C (95°F).
- In case of lamp breakage, see www.osram.com/brokenlamp.
Compliance
This lamp contains mercury. Dispose of used lamps according to local, state and federal regulations; see www.lamprecycle.org. Light and electrical data are measured per EN 60081 / IEC 60081 as stated by the manufacturer.
