- HaloXen® lamps operate at high temperatures. To avoid injury, turn power off and let the bulb cool before handling. Do not use if the glass is scratched or broken, and keep away from flammable or combustible materials.
- Do not touch the capsule with bare hands; skin oil can reduce performance unless wiped clean with alcohol and a soft cloth. The lamp operates under pressure and could shatter, so use it in a fixture with a protective shield or tempered glass, with adequate ventilation, and only in fixtures rated for the stated wattage. Turn power off and let the lamp cool before replacing. Socket condition may affect lamp life; inspect and replace the socket if it deteriorates.
