The GE Ecomagination HIR PAR38 is a Halogen Infrared reflector lamp combining energy savings with high optical precision for accent, display, and retail lighting. HIR technology recycles infrared heat back onto the filament, allowing the lamp to produce the same lumen output at a lower wattage than a standard halogen PAR38 — drawing approximately 54W at 120V while maintaining full CRI 100 output at 2850K warm white.

GE's Precise Optical System uses a multi-faceted reflector and lens lenticule design to eliminate hot spots, sharpen beam cutoffs, reduce stray light, and concentrate more usable lumens on the target area compared to standard halogen PAR38 optics.
