The Sollos PSH040-TZ-12 (product number 913023) is a 12V AC low-voltage straight hat path light built on an architectural aluminum housing with a 4" diameter hat, a 12" stem, and a Textured Bronze powder-coat finish. The fixture uses a clear polycarbonate lens and a G4/GY6.35 bi-pin socket rated for lamps up to 20 watts, and ships with a 3 ft. 18-2 lead wire, waterproof wire connectors, and an 8" ground stake. This is a fixture-only assembly; the lamp is ordered separately. Confirm hat diameter, stem length, finish, socket type, and transformer capacity before ordering.

Product Overview

The Sollos PSH family is the straight hat version of the company's path light line. The 4" hat sits on a straight-profile stem and directs light downward and outward onto walkways, borders, and planting beds while shielding the lamp from direct view. The 12" stem sets the mounting height; shorter stems concentrate a tighter, brighter pool of light close to the fixture, while longer stems spread a wider, softer pattern and cover more linear feet per fixture.

The housing, hat, and collar are architectural aluminum finished in Textured Bronze UV-resistant powder coat. The collar is stepped and threaded so the hat can be removed by hand for relamping without tools, and a clear polycarbonate lens protects the lamp behind it. The ceramic G4/GY6.35 bi-pin socket accepts JC bi-pin lamps up to 20 watts, which covers both traditional halogen JC lamps and the full range of Sollos ProLED JC-series LED lamps.

The fixture ships with a 3 ft. 18-2 lead wire, waterproof wire connectors, and an 8" ground stake. It operates on a 12V AC landscape transformer, which is ordered separately along with the lamp. Sollos commercial, integrated, and Bluetooth-controlled smart transformers are all compatible; size the transformer to the total connected load of the run.

Before Ordering – Verify

• This is a 12V AC low-voltage fixture. It will be destroyed if connected to 120V line voltage. A 12V landscape transformer is required and is not included.
• Socket is G4 / GY6.35 bi-pin. It is not a GU5.3 MR16 socket and not a GU10 socket. MR16 and GU10 lamps will not fit this fixture.
• The lamp is not included. Order a JC G4/GY6.35 bi-pin lamp separately, 20W maximum.
• Confirm hat diameter (4") and stem length (12"). The PSH family is offered in 4", 5.5", 7.5", and 9" hats and 12", 15", and 18" stems; not every hat and stem combination is built.
• Confirm the finish code: TB is Textured Black and TZ is Textured Bronze. This item is Textured Bronze.
• Total the wattage of every fixture on the run and size the transformer accordingly, allowing headroom for future additions.
• Sollos ProLED lamps are marked as dimmable but may not be compatible with every dimming system; test on the actual circuit before completing a full installation.

Safety and Handling Guidelines

• De-energize the transformer before wiring, relamping, or servicing the fixture.
• Make all splices with the supplied waterproof connectors and keep connections out of standing water.
• Bury or otherwise protect the low-voltage cable run to prevent damage from mowers, edgers, and digging.
• Allow halogen JC lamps to cool completely before handling; do not touch quartz halogen lamp envelopes with bare fingers, as skin oils shorten lamp life.
• Do not exceed the 20W maximum lamp rating. Overlamping causes excess heat, socket damage, and lens degradation.
• Drive the ground stake into soil only; do not hammer on the fixture housing, stem, or hat.
• Keep the hat and lens clear of mulch, soil, and dense foliage so heat can dissipate.
• This fixture contains no mercury and no lamp is required to contain mercury; LED and halogen JC lamps are mercury-free.

Compliance

• ETL Listed to UL 1838 (Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Systems) and CSA C22.2 No. 250.7.
• Intended for use on Class 2 / low-voltage landscape lighting circuits supplied by a listed 12V landscape transformer.
• Install in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes; NEC Article 411 governs low-voltage lighting systems.
• Sollos does not publish an IP ingress rating for the PSH fixture body. Where a lamp will be directly exposed to rain or irrigation spray, specify a Sollos IP65-rated ProLED JC lamp.
• Mercury-free product. RoHS-compliant construction.
