Product Overview

The Philips 573642 is part of the Philips LED MR16 Expert Color / PER family, engineered for applications where accurate color rendering matters as much as energy savings. At a measured 95 CRI, it renders reds and skin tones with a level of accuracy typically associated with high-end halogen or specialty studio lighting, while drawing only 7.8W in place of a 50W halogen MR16.

It uses single-optic LED technology in a GU5.3 base and standard MR16 form factor, so it drops into most existing MR16 fixtures without any modification. The lamp is rated for 25,000 hours (nominal), roughly 25 times the service life of the halogen lamp it replaces, and reaches full brightness in about 0.5 s.

Dimming is supported (only with specific/compatible dimmers), and the lamp is UV- and IR-free, reducing heat transfer to nearby merchandise, artwork, or finishes — a common requirement in retail and gallery lighting.
