Product Overview

This Philips InstantFit lamp is proven compatible with over 350 ballasts and drivers – UL Type A models like this one are designed to work directly with existing instant-start, programmed-start, and programmed-start-dimmable ballasts already in the fixture, so there's no need to bypass or rewire the ballast in most retrofit installations. Actual system wattage and light output depend on the ballast factor of the specific ballast driving the lamp; the manufacturer publishes figures at low (0.78), normal (0.88), and high (1.18) ballast factor, shown in the spec table above.

The glass lamp body is rated for 50,000 hours to B50 L70 (the point at which half the LED sources have dropped below 70% of initial lumen output), tested at a ballast factor of 0.88 or lower. All InstantFit lamps carry a Stroboscopic Visibility Measure (SVM) below 1.0, meaning no perceivable flicker under NEMA77, IEC 61547, and IEC 63158 standards.
