The Sylvania LED9T8/L24/FG/850/BF (item number 75016) is a 2 ft LEDlescent™ T8 ballast-free LED tube with a G13 medium bi-pin base and optimized frosted glass optics. It has an internal driver and operates directly on 120-277V with no ballast required — the existing ballast is bypassed. The lamp draws 9W and produces 1100 lumens at 5000K and 82 CRI, with a rated life of 50,000 hours to L70 and a 5-year limited warranty (24/7 operation). Product Overview

LEDlescent T8 Ballast-Free lamps are an energy-saving alternative designed to replace traditional fluorescent T8 and T12 lamps by bypassing the existing ballast. They contain no mercury, provide instant light and a uniform light distribution, and are engineered to operate directly on 120-277V, which minimizes labor and recycling costs. They can be used with occupancy and vacancy sensors for enhanced energy savings.

A patented internal safety switch is built into the lamp. The lamp is double ended and wired end to end, works with shunted and non-shunted sockets, and is polarity neutral, so it can be installed in either direction.

Because the lamp is UL Classified as a luminaire conversion retrofit kit under UL 1598C, the UL rating of the existing fixture is not voided when the fixture is electrically modified, provided the installer follows the installation instructions included with the lamps.

This order code is factory-set to 5000K at 1100 lumens (9W). Other color temperatures in the same 2 ft 9W family are LED9T8/L24/FG/830/BF (3000K, item 75013), LED9T8/L24/FG/835/BF (3500K, item 75014), LED9T8/L24/FG/841/BF (4100K, item 75015).

• This lamp is non-dimmable. Do not use it with dimmers.

Safety and Handling Guidelines

• Turn off power at the breaker before installing, inspecting, or maintaining lamps. Ballast-bypass rewiring places line voltage at the sockets.
• Install and operate in compliance with the National Electrical Code, Underwriters Laboratories requirements, and all applicable local codes.
• Read and comply with all instructions before attempting installation.
• Do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects. Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.
• This lamp has a glass body. Handle by the end caps, avoid impact, and do not install a lamp with visible damage.
• Operate only in dry or damp locations. The lamp must not come into direct contact with water.
• Ensure the fixture allows the case to remain below its 158°F (70°C) maximum temperature.
