The Satco S11911 (11.5T8/LED/48-835/FF/BP 120-277V) is a 11.5-watt LED T8 linear tube from Satco/Nuvo’s Premium flicker-free series, designed as a direct replacement for a 4-foot F32T8 fluorescent tube. This is a ballast-bypass tube — it requires the existing fluorescent ballast to be removed and bypassed; it will not light if the ballast is still in the circuit, by design. With an all-glass, PET-coated shatterproof construction, 3500K color temperature (Neutral White), CRI 80, 1,650 lumens, true flicker-free performance (less than 2% flicker), a 190° beam angle, and a 50,000-hour rated life, this tube is c-UL-us Classified, ETL Sanitation Listed (NSF-conforming), and DLC Listed. Before Ordering — Verify

• Ballast Must Be Bypassed: This tube will not light on an intact fluorescent ballast circuit. The ballast, and the existing wiring to it, must be removed/bypassed by a qualified electrician before installation.
• Socket Type for Single-Ended Wiring: Single-ended installations require non-shunted G13 lampholders. Shunted lampholders (found in fixtures with instant-start ballasts) must be replaced for single-ended wiring, or double-ended wiring used instead.
• Dimming: Not compatible with standard incandescent dimmers. Only operates correctly with the specific dimmer manufactured by Shanghai Infinex Lighting (type ECV100W-XXX), if dimming is required.
• Fixture Type: Not rated for vapor-tight fixtures. Suitable for enclosed luminaires.
• Minimum Compartment Size: Confirm the fixture has at least 48-7/16" L × 13-3/8" W × 1-3/4" H of internal clearance, with at least 1-3/16" spacing between lamps for multi-lamp fixtures (up to 4 lamps).
• Wattage Tier / Color Temperature: Confirm 11.5W and 3500K are correct — the 11.5W tier also includes S11910 (3000K), S11911 (3500K), S11912 (4000K), S11913 (5000K).
• Environment: Indoor use only, damp location rated, maximum ambient temperature 45°C (113°F).

Safety and Installation Guidelines

• Disconnect power before installation. Risk of fire or electric shock.
• Qualified Electrician Required: Installation requires knowledge of luminaire electrical systems and compliance with national/local electrical codes. If not qualified, contact a licensed electrician.
• Remove the Ballast: Disconnect power, remove the existing fluorescent lamp(s), and cut all wires connected to the ballast, then remove the ballast entirely.
• Check Lampholder Type: Identify whether lampholders are shunted or non-shunted before choosing single-ended or double-ended wiring (see Before Ordering).
• Single-Ended Wiring: Power is applied only to the endcap labeled Side A — do not apply power to Side B.
• Apply Retrofit Label: Mark the fixture “This luminaire has been modified and can no longer operate the originally intended lamp” where visible during normal maintenance.
• No Exposed Wiring: Complete all connections with appropriate connectors; no exposed or unconnected wires should remain in the socket.
• Wiring Protection: Do not expose wiring to sheet metal edges or sharp objects; do not create or alter open holes in the wiring/electrical enclosure.
• Check Existing Wiring: Inspect existing wiring for damage before installing; do not install if wires are damaged.
• Not for Emergency Lighting: This device is not intended for emergency lighting use.
• Code Compliance: The retrofit kit is accepted as a luminaire component where suitability of the combination is determined by the authority having jurisdiction.
