The GX24q-3 keyed base is mechanically keyed to prevent insertion into incorrect sockets — it will not seat in GX24q-2 (26W) or GX24q-4 (42W) lampholders. This lamp requires a high-frequency electronic ballast and will not operate on magnetic ballasts or directly on line voltage. For maximum lamp life, programmed start (preheat) ballasts are recommended. Dimmable with a compatible electronic dimming ballast.
