Product Overview
The 88452 is a GE Quartzline® tungsten halogen lamp from GE's Stage and Studio line, built for 3100K color-consistent output over a 1,500-hour rated life. It uses a T-6 quartz envelope with a G9.5 base rated for 115V operation.
Quartz halogen lamps are designed to be operated within close voltage tolerances; excessive voltage can drastically shorten life even as it raises light output. GE recommends contact pins be kept clean, since oxidation above 350°C can cause arcing and irreparable damage to both lamp and lampholder. This item was renumbered from GE product 39730 to 88452; both numbers refer to the same lamp.
