Product Overview

Every Type C installation needs a remote driver, and the driver — not the tube — is what determines system wattage, dimming behavior, and how many lamps a single control point can serve. The 63126 handles up to 2 tubes at 72W maximum input, running on 120-277 VAC.

Type C is an external-driver LED tube architecture. The tube itself contains no internal driver; a dedicated remote LED driver converts line voltage to low-voltage Class 2 DC and feeds the lampholders directly. Existing fluorescent ballasts must be removed and the fixture rewired to the remote driver before these tubes will operate. This arrangement is what allows 0-10V dimming and field-tunable output across an entire installation from a small number of control devices.

This is a fixed-wattage driver rather than a field-tunable LumenChoice unit. It delivers a fixed 36W (fixed) per tube and is intended specifically for the 8 ft 36W Type C lamps, where a single driver serves a maximum of two lamps. It is not a substitute for the 6-18W selectable LumenChoice drivers and will not provide their output range.

Confirm the wattage range matches the tubes. This driver provides 36W fixed per tube, and the LumenChoice 6-18W, 8-16.5W, and fixed 36W drivers are not interchangeable.
Confirm the supply voltage falls within 120-277 VAC. Driver models in this family differ on input range.
Confirm there is physical space for the driver at 9.5 in. L x 1.7 in. W x 1.2 in. H, either inside the fixture or in a remote enclosure.
Confirm the ambient temperature at the driver location stays within -4°F to 104°F.
