The Halco HiLED20-850-E26 (SKU 84899) is a Type B ballast-bypass LED filament lamp engineered to directly replace a 70W HID lamp. Built on a durable full-glass ED23.5 bulb with a E26 (Medium) base, it uses high-power LED filament technology to reproduce the look, 360° light distribution, and omnidirectional beam pattern of a traditional HID lamp, so it works with existing fixture reflector optics. It delivers 3,600 lm at 180 lm/W. Rated 5000K with CRI >80, this lamp is ETL wet-location listed and carries a 5 Years limited warranty. The existing fixture must be rewired to bypass the ballast before installing this lamp.

The Halco HiLED20-850-E26 is part of Halco's HiLED LED HID Filament Lamp series, a Type B ballast-bypass line built to replace traditional HID (metal halide/HPS) lamps with LED filament technology housed in a clear, full-glass envelope. Because the fixture's existing ballast is bypassed entirely, this lamp draws power directly from the 120-277V line, cutting both energy use and the maintenance burden of a failing ballast.

Rated >50,000 hours to L70 with a 5 Years limited warranty, it carries a 360° beam angle to match the omnidirectional distribution of the HID lamp it replaces, and is ETL listed for wet locations.

Before Ordering – Verify

Ballast bypass rewiring is required. This is a Type B lamp — the existing ballast must be disconnected/bypassed before installing it; it is not a plug-and-play ballast-compatible retrofit.
Confirm the fixture currently runs a 70W HID lamp before ordering — this lamp is sized and rated as that lamp's replacement.
Confirm the fixture uses a E26 (Medium) socket.
Confirm the 5000K color temperature is correct for the application — Halco also offers this bulb shape/wattage in other CCTs.
Not dimmable. Do not connect to a dimming circuit or control.
Verify diameter (2-15/16") and length (7-11/16") clear the fixture housing.

Disconnect power at the breaker before installing or servicing.
Ballast bypass wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician familiar with rewiring HID fixtures for Type B LED lamp operation.
