Product Overview
The ProLED Select Slim Downlight Series is an ultra-slim solution for shallow plenum spaces in both new construction and retrofit downlighting. This 6" square model is rated 13W and delivers 1159–1199 lumens with 90+ CRI and low glare, depending on the field-selected color temperature.
No additional housing or junction box is required – the fixture uses spring-loaded universal mounting slips for a secure ceiling fit, an IC-rated steel junction box with two 3/4" knockouts, and a remote driver enclosure connected by a 12" cable, ideal for shallow plenums. CCT is set once at install via a dipswitch on the driver enclosure.

Before Ordering – Verify
- CCT is field-selectable, not fixed. Set the dipswitch on the driver enclosure to the desired color temperature at install – confirm the installer knows which of the five settings the customer wants.
- Confirm size and shape: this is the 6" Square model. The series is also offered in other sizes and in both round and square trims – confirm the correct combination for the ceiling opening.
- Confirm ceiling cutout: 6-5/16". Verify against the actual opening before ordering.
- Dimming is limited to compatible Triac dimmers. Halco's tested list includes Lutron DVCL-153PR-WH, Lutron CTCL-153PDH-WH, Lutron TGCL-153PH-WH, Lutron MACL-153MH-WH, and others – confirm the dimmer model against Halco's published compatibility list before specifying for a dimmed circuit.
- Delivered lumens and efficacy vary by CCT setting – use the per-CCT breakdown in Technical Specifications for the exact output at the selected color temperature, not just the overall range.
Safety and Handling Guidelines
- De-energize the circuit before installing or servicing the fixture.
- Set the CCT dipswitch before final installation; the driver enclosure sits remotely from the LED module and may be less accessible once installed.
- Wet Location rated – confirm the specific installation location meets the wet-location listing requirements.
- IC rated for direct contact with insulation, but confirm local code requirements for the specific installation.
- Use only with a dimmer confirmed compatible per Halco's published dimmer compatibility list.
