The Halco 89168 is a 4-inch commercial slim LED downlight with a smooth white trim profile, designed for fast canless installation in retrofit and new construction projects. Spring retention clips secure the fixture directly into the ceiling opening without requiring a separate recessed housing. The LED light engine and remote driver box are connected by a plenum-rated quick-connect cord, allowing the driver to be positioned within the ceiling cavity away from the light source for thermal management and serviceability.

Field-selectable DIP switches allow installers to choose from five color temperatures (2700K through 5000K) and three lumen output levels (660, 820, or 1075 lumens at 2700K). At the highest output setting, actual delivered lumens range from approximately 1079 lm at 2700K to 1166 lm at 3500K per manufacturer photometrics. The edge-lit architecture with a frosted PMMA diffuser delivers a wide 110° flood beam with uniform distribution. A 90+ CRI with TM-30 fidelity of Rf 92 / Rg 100 ensures accurate, vibrant color rendering suitable for retail, hospitality, and high-end residential applications.

The integrated dual-dimming driver accommodates both TRIAC/ELV and 0-10V protocols. A critical limitation: TRIAC/ELV dimming operates only at 120V input, while 0-10V dimming functions across the full 120-277V range.
