Programmed rapid start preheats lamp cathodes before striking the arc, maximizing lamp life in high-cycling DALI-controlled environments. Output frequency above 42kHz eliminates visible flicker at all dimming levels and prevents interference with infrared remote control systems. Control lead protection circuitry prevents accidental connection of DALI leads to mains voltage — defaulting to maximum output rather than ballast failure.
