Important Safety & Installation Notes
- DC Power Required: CSR/CSS metal halide lamps require a DC power supply and compatible ballast. Incorrect power supply will damage the lamp.
- High Pressure Warning: These lamps operate under high internal pressure. Always wear face shield and protective gloves during handling and installation.
- No Bare Hands: Never touch the bulb envelope with bare skin. Oils cause hot spots leading to premature failure or lamp burst. Use clean gloves or a lint-free cloth.
- Do Not Exceed Rated Voltage: Operating above rated voltage dramatically shortens lamp life. Verify supply voltage before installing.
- Burn Position: Observe the rated burn position. Incorrect orientation can cause premature failure or lamp burst.
- Extreme Heat Warning: SSTV lamps operate at very high temperatures and UV output. Use only in approved enclosed luminaires with appropriate UV filtering.
- Allow Cool Down: Allow lamp to cool completely before handling or relamping. Do not touch immediately after switching off.
