Product Overview

The Sylvania 64787 MS750/PS/BU-HOR/BT37 is a 750W Pulse-Start Metal Halide (PSMH) Metalarc lamp for commercial and industrial HID lighting in high-bay, outdoor, and area lighting applications. Pulse-start technology combines proven metal halide arc-tube design with ignitor technology for faster warm-up, high lumen maintenance, and reduced color shift over life compared to standard probe-start metal halide lamps.

Operating position: Base-up through horizontal (may be operated base-up through horizontal). Ballasts with sustaining voltage below 310V may significantly reduce lamp life.

Requires a pulse-start compatible HID ballast matched to ANSI M149/E and a pulse-rated mogul or medium HID socket. Mercury content — dispose per local, state, or federal regulations.

Applications

• Commercial and industrial HID lighting – High-bay, outdoor, and area lighting for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and similar enclosed-fixture applications.
• Retrofit and maintenance replacement – Verify ANSI code, wattage, bulb shape, and operating position before ordering. Pulse-start lamps require a pulse-start ballast — not interchangeable with probe-start ballasts.

Safety and Installation

• Compatible pulse-start HID ballast required. Do not use on a probe-start ballast.
• Enclosed fixture only. This lamp is E-type — to be used ONLY in a suitably enclosed luminaire.
• Allow warm-up time: Several minutes are needed to reach full light output.
• Hot restrike: Allow the lamp to cool before restarting after a power interruption.
• UV radiation: This lamp can cause serious skin burn and eye inflammation from short-wave ultraviolet radiation if the outer envelope is broken or punctured. Use only in fixtures with adequate shielding.
• Mercury disposal: Contains mercury — dispose per local, state, or federal lamp recycling regulations.
