Type B

Type B LED T8 tubes are ballast-bypass (direct-wire) lamps. The existing fluorescent ballast is removed and the fixture is rewired so the lamp operates directly from line voltage (typically 120-277V). This eliminates ballast failures and often provides the highest energy savings.

This category features Philips CorePro MainsFit and other UL Type B linear LED tubes. Available in 24", 36", and 48" lengths with color temperatures from 3000K to 5000K. Many models are double-ended for use with shunted or non-shunted sockets once properly wired.

Type B is the preferred choice when ballasts are failing, when maximum energy reduction is required, or when a long-term ballast-free solution is desired. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician.
