The Universal AccuStart5® Triad B254PUNV-D is a programmed rapid-start electronic ballast wired for series lamp operation, built to drive 1 or 2 lamps from a wide range of T5HO, T8, and 2G11 4-pin compact fluorescent families. It operates on 120-277VAC, +/-10%, 50/60Hz, and can also run on 125VDC input. Active power factor correction and auto-reset end-of-lamp-life shutdown circuitry are built in.

Product Overview
This AccuStart5® ballast uses programmed rapid start with active power factor correction and auto-reset end-of-lamp-life shutdown circuitry, so it automatically resumes normal operation once a failed lamp is replaced. Because this ballast uses series lamp wiring rather than parallel, both lamps in a 2-lamp fixture are electrically linked – removing or losing one lamp can affect operation of the other, unlike a parallel-wired ballast where lamps run independently.
Electrical performance varies by lamp type, lamp count, and line voltage. The table below summarizes input watts and ballast factor for each certified lamp family at both 120V and 277V; THD stays under 10% and power factor stays above .94 across every documented configuration. The 1-lamp FT36W/2G11 configuration runs a ballast factor of 1.20 – the manufacturer notes to consult the lamp manufacturer before using this ballast in applications requiring ballast factor above 1.20.
