The Philips Advance Centium ICN-4S54-90C-2LS is a programmed-start electronic ballast for three or four F54T5/HO lamps on any supply voltage from 120V to 277V. It supports high-low switching, so a single ballast can switch from four lamps down to two for lower light levels and energy savings. It is a 90C model, and F54T5/HO lamps start down to -20°F (-29°C).

Product Overview
The ICN-4S54-90C-2LS is a high-capacity Centium T5HO ballast: it runs three or four lamps from a single ballast and adds high-low switching, so a switch or control can change the fixture from four lamps to two. It operates the lamp types listed below at a ballast factor of 1.00 (F54T5/HO), and programmed start helps extend lamp life in frequently switched applications. Note that this catalog number is not listed for FT55W/2G11 lamps; the ICN-4S54-90C-2LS-G is the version listed for those.
- Programmed start: preheats the lamp electrodes before ignition, which can extend lamp life in applications with frequent switching, such as occupancy sensors, motion detectors and daylight harvesting.
- IntelliVolt multi-voltage input: one ballast operates on any supply voltage from 120V through 277V (50/60 Hz), which simplifies ordering and installation.
- Auto-restrike: restarts lamps after a lamp is replaced without having to reset power.
- Lamp end-of-life (EOL) protection: safely removes power from a lamp when it fails.

Safety and Handling
- Turn off power at the breaker before installing or servicing the ballast, and have the installation done by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.
- Wire the ballast exactly as shown on its label and in the wiring diagram; ballast leads are color-coded per ANSI C82.11.
- Ground the ballast case to the fixture.
- Use only the lamp types and lamp counts listed for this ballast, and remove a failed lamp promptly.
- The grey/red lead of the switching circuit must be connected to the neutral or to any hot conductor, as shown in the wiring diagram on the ballast.
