Product Overview

The GE Type A+B Dual Mode LED Glass Tube offers installation flexibility: it can run off a compatible existing ballast at initial installation (Type A) and later run directly off line voltage (Type B) should the ballast fail or be found incompatible, without needing to source a different lamp. To operate the lamp in Type B mode the fixture must be rewired to bypass the ballast.

The lamp works with either shunted or unshunted sockets in Type B double-ended mode and includes built-in safety protection for installers and end users. Performance is design/typical data measured on Normal Ballast Factor (0.88); actual performance in Type A mode may vary with ballast model, age, and ballast factor (Low 0.78, High 1.18).
