Parallel circuit operation ensures remaining lamps continue at full output if one lamp fails. Lamp striation reduction technology eliminates the visible swirling effect common in energy-saving fluorescent lamps. Remote mounting capability up to 20 feet from the lamp source supports clean architectural designs, shallow luminaire cavities, and cove lighting applications where the ballast cannot be mounted directly within the fixture.
Note on start method: Instant start ballasts do not preheat lamp cathodes, which may reduce lamp life in high-switching applications. For occupancy sensor installations with frequent cycling, a programmed rapid start ballast is recommended.
